Remi Schloff, LMSW has been helping people find relationship resolution and mental health since 1998, and due to her expertise in Relationship counseling, was featured as a Relationship Expert on West Michigan's ABC Affiliate WZZM13 for the last 15 years. Remi graduated from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 1998 and the Council for Relationships' post graduate clinical training program in Philadelphia, PA in 2000. Following this clinical training, Remi went to work for Jewish Family Services of Philadelphia and for author and expert Karen Kleiman at the Postpartum Stress Center of Philadelphia, which is regarded the premier center in the United States for women and men with difficulty adjusting to parenthood. This background in working with individuals through the entire life and family span provides Remi a clear and unparalleled understanding and appreciation of the relationship between mental health and family dynamics.
Due to her training and work at the Postpartum Stress Center in Philadelphia, Remi also works with Women and Men dealing with difficult transitions to parenthood. Remi is a part time professor of Social Work at Western Michigan University and Grand Rapids Community College. Remi has also provided community education to healthcare professionals as a guest lecturer for the Kent County Health Department continuing education series, and served on the Kent and Ottawa County Perinatal Mood Disorders Coalition.
Remi is married in a blended family with 7 children who enjoys sailing, boating and tennis. In addition to her family and professional life, Remi has demonstrated a commitment to serving her community by volunteering at the Legal Self Help Center of Ottawa County (Holland MI), Mediation Services (Ottawa County), and Holland's Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance. Remi has also served as the secretary of the University of Michigan Alumni Board, and is a member of Rotary International.
